About Grant Bixby

Grant Bixby grew up a fifth generation Long Beach, California resident. His connection to real estate runs deep, as his family settled in southern California in the mid-1800’s and worked in ranching and farming. Over the years, the Bixby family transitioned into the real estate business as the area became populated. Today Bixby Land Company (www.bixbyland.com) is one of the oldest and most revered real estate development and property management companies in California. Over his lifetime of involvement with the company, Grant has come to understand all aspects of the real estate market: residential, office/industrial, and retail development.

Grant graduated in 1993 from Stanford University with a degree in Urban Planning & Development (Urban Studies). His coursework involved numerous aspects of architecture & design, environmental sciences, land planning, economics, and other development related issues. His education brings additional expertise to the daily task of evaluating strengths and weaknesses of communities and individual properties. Following graduation from Stanford, Grant pursued entrepreneurial opportunities in real estate investment & development in Long Beach and Costa Mesa, as well as Hawaii.

In 2003, Grant joined Strada Properties, at the time the leading boutique residential real estate firm in coastal Orange County. He associated with veteran agent and Strada founding partner Keith Randle. Since that time Grant and Keith have strengthened their team with the addition of Jordan Knickmeyer, himself a broker and recent Chapman Law School graduate. In 2004, Strada Properties was acquired by Coldwell Banker. As a licensed Realtor for CB Previews International, Grant—along with his clients—enjoy the benefits of a worldwide marketing presence, strong referral network, and the office with the highest market share in the Newport Beach area. Grant lives with his wife, Heidi, and their two children in the Dover Shores area of Newport Beach. Together they enjoy frequenting the local parks, library, Back Bay trails, beaches, and fine area restaurants.
